Let’s see how Forza Horizon 6 stacks up to the Whenever Gamer rating system.

How much time is required?

Low Grind Level

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Your grind level with Forza Horizon 6 will depend on your end goals. If your goal is to complete just the main story objectives (the Horizon Festival events), this still requires some grinding, as there are several side races you must complete to unlock main story events. However, if your goal is to unlock every car the game has to offer (over 600), every outfit for your character, every different horn type, etc., this will require a boatload of hours.

Easy to Learn

Rating: 5 out of 5.

One of the great things about this game is that it caters to however hard you want it to be. The game does a good job with a basic tutorial that teaches some of the fundamentals. Specialty skills (drifting, e-braking, etc.) are introduced throughout the game as you complete more races. Anyone can turn this game on and drive all throughout the country with ease. The game excellently offers the option to select the difficulty level of the CPU racers, making races against the CPU as challenging (or easy) as you choose. Things such as navigation and braking assistance are also options you can toggle on and off to cater to your style of learning and racing.

What is the Pausability

What is the Pausability?

Pausability

Rating: 5 out of 5.

With the exception of online racing against real players, you can literally pause the game at any time during a race or event (even if you are 500 feet in mid-air after flying off a ramp). This is especially helpful for some of the longer races or events that may take over 5 or even 10 minutes to complete. What’s even better? The game offers a rewind option you can use at any time. Did you hit a turn too fast mid-race and find yourself barreling down a mountain? No problem. You can rewind to before that event happened and take action to prevent it.

Fun Factor

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Car games aren’t for everyone, but this game has so much to offer. With over 600 cars to drive, a massive map to explore, and the beautiful aesthetics this game provides, it’s easy to get lost in it for hours. The developers have executed many small features exceptionally well (multiple radio stations with great music, character and car customizations, building your own estate, and customizing your own garage, etc.). The list goes on and on with this game. Even if you don’t care for cars or racing games, it is absolutely worth checking out.

What is the Final Score?

Forza Horizon 6 offers a flexible experience that can be as casual or as grind-heavy as players want, depending on whether they focus on the main story or aim to unlock every collectible and customization option. The game is extremely beginner-friendly, featuring adjustable difficulty settings, driving assists, and tutorials that make it easy for anyone to jump in and enjoy. Its generous pause and rewind systems also make races less stressful, allowing players to retry mistakes instantly or pause at nearly any moment during offline play. With hundreds of cars, a huge open world, deep customization, and immersive presentation, the game delivers a highly entertaining racing experience, even for players who do not normally enjoy car games.
